Tiffany loves the color orange, spending time with family & friends, and going to the beach.  Christ calls us to be the light and salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13-16), Tiffany tries to encourage students to do that every day no matter what life throws at them and to continue to grow in their relationship with Christ. She hopes to get to know you and your family as we minister to our community.

Minister of Music - Rev. Tom Heaton

Tom had two enormous influences in his early life: 1) his maternal grandfather, Hubert Williams, who was a Baptist preacher in rural Alabama while also working full-time as an electrician in a coal mine; and 2) George Patterson, the music minister at First Baptist in Troy, Alabama, where the main campus of the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home was located. Tom and his younger siblings (2 sisters, 1 brother) were all residents at the Home.  Tom’s grandfather (and grandmother) taught him enduring lessons about ministry. George instilled a deep love of music in Tom and encouraged its growth, through high school, college and beyond. The great love of Tom’s life is his wife, Joy, who is a cancer survivor and is Executive Director of Just Compassion, a non-profit corporation seeking to provide free dental services to underprivileged children in Appalachian Virginia. They, along with their dog Roxy, live in Richmond.  Tom received his Bachelors of Arts (Music) from Samford University and his Master of Divinity (Sacred Music) from Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond.

Pianist - Joyce Smith

Joyce Smith has served as Pianist at Hulls for seven years plus. She comes from a long  background of church music, having served as Director of Music Ministries in many churches through the years. Having begun as a church Pianist at age 12, she developed her own style of improvisation at an early age by combining the sounds of Ralph Carmichael, Gospel Pianist Rudy Atwood, and Montivani's Orchestra. Joyce gained her formal music training from the Chicago Conservatory of Music, as well as vocal training from Fresno State University.  Her greatest desire is to glorify God through her keyboard artistry and to make it a Ministry to the congregation.
